Current responsibilities
- Running of Writing, Reading and Sentence level teaching and learning
- Development and implementation of a new approach to the teaching of reading
- Development and implementation of T4W School coach
- Running CPD – PDMs, INSET Days, Induction days
- Conducting observations and book scrutiny to develop tailored action plans
- Collaborative planning for the whole of the English and reading curriculum
- Working with NQTs to develop their knowledge and practiceKS2 Moderator
- Writing texts to be used in class across the school
Experience in leading improvements in learning and teaching:
Moderator for KS2
Whole school implementation of new strategy for the teaching and learning of reading including the development of high level question skills
Whole school implementation of T4W and continually refining methods to further develop the teaching and learning of writing
Collaborative planning across each year group - for each area of the English and reading curriculum
Creating “I can” statements for reading and writing
Coaching and mentoring NQTs and established members of staff – supported by regular CPD, PDMs, INSET training, learning walks, drop ins, book
scrutiny and team teaching
Collaborative planning / team teaching of engaging sentence level teaching
Good understanding of the new curriculum and the Interim Teacher Assessment Framework
