Information

Thrilled to host Heather Rushton from 'Exploring Choices'.

The session aims to provide a space for staff to focus on teaching reading. Together we will try to understand the wider impact of the Covid 19 pandemic and its impact on children's capacity to learn. There will be opportunities to consider planning how to address learning gaps and support children to develop a love of reading.

There will be a detailed activity to use poetry.

The agenda will cover: 

  • Understanding Carnivorous (Covid 19) impact on the whole child- who are the children?
  • Forensic assessment of children’s needs
  • Comprehension- detailed activity using poetry
  • Catch up or  acceleration?
