Challenge the Gap

Challenge the GAP

We are proud to be a Facilitation School for Challenge Partners’ narrowing the gap programme, Challenge the Gap.

Challenge the Gap is Challenge Partners’ whole school improvement programme that has been shown to significantly improve the academic performance of vulnerable pupils through school-to-school learning and a collaborative approach to tackling gaps.

Pupils targeted by the programme make accelerated progress of four terms’ in three, with the attendance of persistently absent pupils rising by 8% points. School staff participating in the programme also highlight the impact seen on social and emotional competencies of pupils, including their resilience in the face of difficult tasks and awareness around their own learning.
